We have just started Our Mini Economy. Our class currency is called the Killy. Every week, the bankers pay us in killies for doing our classroom jobs. Unfortunately, the debit collectors come around after and we have to pay tax and other living expenses (electricity, heating, desk rent and teaching charges). We save or spend whatever we have left in the class shop on Friday.
We can also buy a business licence and start our own (low cost) business to make extra killies. Some of the businesses in the class at the minute are selling bookmarks, graffiti names, door signs, custom decorations, origami, stickers and small felt pillows. We're hoping this will give us some ideas for when we start the Junior Entrepreneur programme later in the month.
